How iOS developers can build better apps

While it’s still possible since the 2008 App Store launch for relatively inexperienced developers to create hit products, it’s a lot less likely. And while you still get stories of young developers making it, for the most part it’s all about the big dev firms.

I’ve been thinking about this for a bit, and thought I’d try to put together a few ideas that may help people thinking about making an iPhone or iPad app.

If you haven’t yet started building your software, then App Store optimization may not be particularly high on your list of priorities. But given this is where you will end up once you build your app, it makes sense to consider this first when you first imagine the idea for a new solution.

If you think about it, getting your apps near the top of the listings in the App Store is just search-based optimization like anything else.

At best, search means developing ideas people need and delivering it in forms people like. The search machines on an app store may work differently, but they really still are search engines and you can still try to optimize your position within these results.

how to register your drone with FAA

Before you take to the skies with your new drone, you need to make sure it has been properly registered with the U.S. government. Check our guide for registration requirements and easy, step-by-step instructions on how to complete your drone registration with the Federal Aviation Administration.

If your drone weighs more than 0.55 lbs, you will need to register it with the FAA before you fly!

The process is easy, you must be 13 or over and it will cost $5. From there, there are strict rules you will need to follow in the air, please read through and check them all out. I know some of them can be a hassle, depending on where you plan to fly, but the more we break the rules, the stricter they will become in the future. Help us all enjoy drones for years to come by enjoying them responsibly today.

Before we get to the step-by-step process of how to register, let’s talk about why users are now required to register their drones. Registration is a relatively new requirement for hobbyist drone operators. Given the number of incidents involving drones (usually as a result of drones being flown in restricted areas, such as near airports or off-limits natural areas) and videos showing drones being outfitted with cameras for spying on the neighbors and prison contraband, it becomes rather obvious. The honor system just wasn’t working. So in an effort to keep the skies clear for manned aircraft, animals, and people, the FAA implemented a registration process to keep track of all consumer-grade UAVs (unmanned air vehicles) and UAV pilots.

Step #5. Tap on Continue.

Here, the Watch shares essential information about what ECG app cannot do.

Amazon is giving some Fire HD tablets a big update. The tech giant released a software update that adds Drop In and Announcement modes to the Fire HD 8 and Fire HD 10.

Drop In and Announcements modes are nearly identical to what you find on the Echo Show and Echo Spot. The former lets you drop into calls with other Echo and compatible Alexa tablets, while Announcements let you broadcast to all other Alexa devices in your household. While they’re nice to have, they’re also invasive — thankfully the features are not turned on by default. Here’s how to use Drop In and Announcement modes on Amazon’s Fire tablets.
