Why Apple should develop its own 5G iPhone tech

Apple’s fight with Qualcomm seems likely to force a search for alternative iPhone modems suppliers. However, with carriers expected to launch 5G networks from around 2020, might Cupertino plan to develop its own 5G technologies for use in future iOS devices?

Some evidence

In the short term, Apple appears to be tightening its relationship with Intel. This could extend to capping the technologies used in iPhones, one Bloomberg report claimed. Apple’s accusation that Qualcomm’s royalty schemes place a “burden” on innovation suggests other challenges on the road ahead. That Apple has won wide industry support in its case will be an interesting twist for courts to decide.

How to Create GIF on Mac

GIFs have become almost indispensable for a fun-loving messaging. I don't fail to use them to liven the mood of the conversation. At times when I want to make the mood of the chat livelier, I create awesome GIFs on Mac and unleash them to keep the tempo alive!

There are quite a few apps like GIPHY Capture and PicGIF which allow you to create great-looking GIFs. However, I find EZGIF website more convenient. It has plenty of editing options to let you give the desired look to your pics. Besides, you don't need to pay anything to get your work done.

Step #1. First, you need to go to https://ezgif.com/

Step #2. Select GIF Maker from the menu bar.

Step #3. Next, click on browse and head over to the folder/location and select your favorite images. Then, click on Open.

Step #4. Now, you need to click on Upload button.

Now, take the full advantage of the handy editing tools to design you image. For instance, toggle range of frames, choose delay time, change loop count, use the global color map to reduce file size and select effects.

Step #5. Thereafter, click on “Animate it.”

Step #6. Once, the GIF is ready, you can optimize the same to reduce its file size. To do so, Optimize GIF → compress the level and then click on Optimize it.

Check out other menus like the option to Add Text, Resize, Crop, Splits, Effects, WebP. You can use them to further fine tune your GIF.

Step #7. If you are satisfied with the changes, click on save button.

How To Convert videos into GIFs using EzGIF on Mac

Note: Make sure your video is less than 100 MB.

Step #1. First, go to https://ezgif.com/

Step #2. Then, select Video to GIF from the menu bar.

Step #3. Up next, click on Choose Files. Then, choose the video you want to convert into GIF.

Click on Video to GIF Tab and Browse Video from Mac

Step #4. Click on the Upload button (Alternatively, you can paste video URL.)

Step #5. Now, crop the video before converting it into GIF. Select the start and end time. Choose the ideal file size and frame rate → Once, satisfied with the changes, click on Convert to GIF.

Note: You have multiple options like crop, rotate, reverse, convert video to GIF, convert video to WebP, convert video to APNG, convert video to MP4. Also, check out the tiny arrow on the bottom right of the video → right click on it → you have four options: to video, to APNG, to FLIF, to WebP. There is also an option to optimize the GIF to reduce the file size. You can also add some nice effects to your video.
